The paytable connects symbols to outcomes

A slot's theme supplies its pictures, sounds and animation. Its paytable explains which of those pictures form a recognised combination and how that combination is evaluated. Similar-looking fruit, jewel or card symbols in two different titles do not establish equal values. Read the information belonging to the exact title that is open, including any separate rules for a feature mode.

Begin by locating the ordinary paying symbols and the minimum arrangement needed for a result. Then identify symbols with another role, such as substitutes or feature triggers. This separates a regular combination from an animation announcing a special stage. A visually prominent symbol need not be the most valuable ordinary symbol, and a large on-screen effect does not replace the result amount recorded for the round.

A line is different from a collection of matching pictures

On a payline game, matching symbols must occupy a recognised path under the stated rules. Three identical symbols scattered around the screen may therefore mean something different from three on an active line. Other titles can use ways or clusters instead, so the phrase “matching symbols” alone is not enough to explain a win.

For a simple reading exercise, imagine a screen with matching symbols in the upper-left, centre and lower-right positions. Before interpreting that diagonal, check whether it is an eligible line and which direction the game reads. The exercise demonstrates why the path matters; it does not describe an actual IG7 title. The game's own information should show the combinations it accepts.

Wilds and scatters perform different jobs

A wild commonly substitutes for specified symbols, but its exclusions matter. A title may prevent it from replacing a scatter or another special symbol. An expanding or held wild adds behaviour that needs its own explanation. Do not transfer the behaviour of a familiar wild from one release to another merely because the artwork uses the same word.

A scatter can have a rule based on how many appear rather than the normal line path. Depending on the title, it may award a result, trigger another stage, or both. Read the required count and any placement restriction. Calling every special symbol a “bonus” loses the distinction between substitution, a direct award and the condition that opens a feature.

Follow the transition into a feature

A feature can change what happens after the initial reel result. The information may describe additional spins, symbols that remain in position or another evaluation stage. Identify the trigger first, then the rules that operate inside the feature, and finally how the game returns to its ordinary mode. These are separate steps in understanding one round.

The feature counter is useful context. A number of remaining spins describes progress through that feature; it is not necessarily a separate wallet balance. Likewise, an accumulated feature result may be displayed before the final round total is posted. Read the labels and completed history before adding together figures that could already include one another.

Separate a game feature from an account promotion

A feature triggered by symbols belongs to the game's rules. A promotional offer belongs to the account terms supplied by the service. Both may use words such as “free spins,” but that shared phrase does not make their conditions identical. One can describe a stage within a game, while the other describes an entitlement that must be allocated to an account.

If an offer names an eligible title, confirm that exact title and the offer's activation details. The slot's paytable cannot explain whether an account qualified for a campaign. Conversely, an offer banner does not explain how a wild substitutes on the reels. Keeping these two information sources separate makes a missing entitlement easier to distinguish from a misunderstood game result.

Use a completed round's details to identify the title, the amount associated with the entry and the recorded outcome. Where a feature spans several screens, locate the final result instead of relying on a mid-feature image. If the connection failed, establish whether the round was completed before starting an investigation; replaying an animation is not necessarily a new round.

Do identical symbols always have identical values across games?

No. Symbol artwork does not define a universal paytable. Each title supplies its own combinations, values and special behaviour, so a familiar picture is only a visual cue.

Is a feature counter the amount available to withdraw?

Not necessarily. It may count remaining spins or show an intermediate game total. Withdrawal eligibility belongs to the account's balance definitions and conditions, rather than the feature animation.
